Meal Time Box kindly sent me a 10 Meal Box for review purposes.

My 10 Meal Box contained:

2 Guinness Beef Stew meals

2 Apple Pork Chop meals

2 Steak & Onion meals

2 Homestyle Chicken Nugget meals

2 Stewed Chicken meals

Total value = guesstimated around $100

The verdict...

Shipping is wonderful as you know exactly when to expect your shipment and they always deliver as promised. The customer service is great and they cater to your every need just by simply contacting them. They strive to give the best customer service possible. The value is worth what you pay when you factor in the cost of all the ingredients, the time and gas you would use to go shopping yourself, the time and energy you would spend cooking these meals from scratch and the shipping costs as well.

The beef stew was very good and the favorite item for my whole family in my box. All the ingredients went well together and tasted like something you made yourself.

My kids LOVED the Homestyle chicken nuggets and potatoes. I wasn't a huge fan of the nuggets as I prefer my nuggets crisp and obviously they aren't when you cook them in the microwave. The roasted potatoes were scrumptious and seasoned well and I'd eat them anytime. Day or night.

The rice and black beans with the stewed chicken were great as well. Rice and beans is something I love and I really enjoyed them.

The green beans with the steak and onions were very fresh and vibrant. They tasted wonderful. I love fresh veggies and you can tell they used the best they could for this meal.

The meals themselves are a great concept but I believe there are a few things that could be worked on.

I love how convenient  it is to just throw your vacuum sealed bags in the microwave but once its done cooking and you go to put it on your plate everything is kind of mixed together. Maybe the sides should be in a separate bag than the main entrée?

Also, some of the meat isn't the best after it's microwaved. Specifically the stewed chicken in my box. It came out kind of slimy (for lack of a better word). As someone who has to have her chicken with crispy skin and dry this was a bit of a deal breaker for me.

The pork chops would have been good if the swiss chard wasn't in the same bag with it. We weren't a fan of the chard and unfortunately since it was all in the same bag it made everything taste like it as it has a overpowering taste. So this comes back to maybe using separate bags for the ingredients. I wouldn't mind spending the few extra minutes to microwave a few bags to fix this issue.

Overall, this isn't a bad box at all. I would recommend this box to anyone that lives a busy lifestyle or that doesn't enjoy cooking but likes home cooked meals.
